A Game Approach to Identifying Children with Learning Disabilities |
Over 2.8 million children are currently receiving special education services for learning disabilities and 35% of children with learning disabilities drop out of high school! This session will be in two parts. The first part will involve a FUN activity based session that utilizes group discussion, videotape analysis and an in interactive game based approach to identifying children with learning disabilities. The second part of the session is to explore alternative methods of assessment and evaluation beyond the standardized tools used for the placement decisions and qualifying for services. |
