Breaking Barriers: Women Choosing Careers in the Sport Industry |
Women are entering traditionally male-dominated fields in increasing numbers. One of these fields is the sport industry. The purpose of this session is to focus on careers of women in different segments of the sport industry. In particular, career concerns of women working in the management of professional sport and disability sport will be addressed. The session will also focus on culturally diverse women and specific strategies for their recruitment and retention in the sport industry, both in sport management and teacher education. |
