Escrima Fitness: Taking Kickboxing Aerobics to a New Level
For the past several years kickboxing aerobic classes have dominated the fitness center scene and more recently have become an exciting activity in elementary and secondary physical education programs. Escrima fitness can add variety and increase the level of enjoyment in kickboxing aerobic routines. The Philippino martial art of Escrima is known for its rhythmical movements using foam covered batons. Combining these baton movements with the strikes and kicks that are common in kickboxing aerobics can enhance the upper body movements in your routine, increase the interest in your program and expose the participants to a unique aerobic activity.
