Cardiovascular Health Promotion in Children |
This session will address coronary risk factors in children. It will include discussion of the incidence of coronary risk factors in children (high cholesterol, obesity, physical inactivity and high fat, high cholesterol diet), as well as the relationship between obesity and inactivity. The program will also discuss the FRESH Program (Food Re-Education for Elementary School Health), a cardiovascular disease prevention program.
The program will offer recommendations for exercise and dietary guidelines designed to enhane the cardiovascular health of children. |
