Assessing Learning Outcomes: Kinesiology in the California State University System |
Outcomes-based academic program assessment is now mandatory at many colleges and universities throughout the nation. Kinesiology and Physical Education departments are increasingly being asked to provide evidence demonstrating the extent to which student majors are achieving the learning outcomes judged by the faculty to be most important. The purpose of this session is to discuss the collective development and individual campus use of the common set of learning outcomes created by Kinesiology and Physical Eeducation department chairs, and their respective faculties, to assess bachelor’s degree programs in the California State University system. |
