Youth Programming: Meeting Children's Needs and Interests in Your Community
Are youth programs in your community meeting the needs and interests of the children they serve? Presenters will discuss how to assess children's needs and create developmentally appropriate programs based on those needs. The benefits of partnering with a local university, and specifically, how the National Youth Sports Program operates will be addressed. The presentation will include an analysis of how existing youth organizations can make their services more responsive to the needs of today's children and adolescents and how a partnership with a university can strengthen these services.
