| Attendees will gain understanding of the following aspects of risk management -- selected basic legal concepts related to liability; reduction of liability through desirable operational practices; standard of care required in conducting activity; instructions and warnings as the first line of legal defense; participants' role in ameliorating legal liability; function of participant forms; transferring liability by contract; using protective statutes. |
