Physical Education Together: A School-University Partnership That Works |
In this session, we will describe an unusual and highly successful university/school collaboration that gives university students the opportunity to actually run the physical education program at a local elementary school. You will hear about the program from the perspective of three undergraduate students and one of the teachers, as well as from the university professors who originally designed and supervise the program.
During and after the presentation, audience members will be invited to think about what makes such collaborations successful, what obstacles need to be overcome, and how they might design successful school/university collaborations in their own areas. |
