Competing Frameworks for Understanding the Dearth of Women Coaches |
The dearth of women coaches at the collegiate level is a well-established fact. This session is intended to shed light on the role paradigmatic assumptions, theoretical frameworks, and research methodologies have on understanding the dearth of women coaches. The presenters will each share their research findings, discuss how theoretical frameworks impact the interpretation of the findings, and engage in lively conversation and debate regarding these interpretations. Critically exploring these issues should inform current coaches, future coaches, and sport administrators about the complexities of this issue and the implications for women in coaching. |
