Industry Responsibility: Health Clubs & Children's Fitness Issues
With schools required to streamline budgets, physical education is often the first to suffer. What is left is a society of children who are deconditioned and unmotivated. Opportunities abound for the athletically inclined child, but what of the children who do not have an interest in organized sports? Fitness communities need to become an advocate of youth fitness. This session will discuss ways of using creativity, demographic detail, and an understanding of the needs and desires of both parents/guardians and children, and age-appropriate skill levels, intelligent, exciting, and innovative programs can be introduced throughout the fitness industry.
