Promoting Health in an Aging Workforce
By the year 2005, the median age of U.S. workers will be 45. More than 15% will be over the age of 55. Given that the average worker spends over one-third of his/her time on the job, the work environment is an appropriate place for promoting health. This presentation will present the latest research on work, aging, and health and enable worksite health specialists to promote and integrate strategies of healthy aging in the work setting.
