Exercise Enhances Brain Structure/Function in Children and Older Adults
The aim of this application oriented presentation is to present and discuss novel exercise strategies for improving brain function and behavior in children and adults with and without disability. Research suggests human brain tissue has a far greater potential for acquiring new knowledge and developing new skills than we used to believe -- experience is the chief architect of the brain. This has tremendous implications for how we should provide services for children and older adults and what can be done to help people age with as much dignity as possible.
