Development of Women's Softball/Baseball, Particularly the All-American Girls Professional Baseball League |
This session will summarize the development of women's softball and baseball in the U.S. going back to the 1860s, with emphasis on the All-American Girls Professional Baseball League, which operated in the late 1940s and early 1950s. The research will be supported and updated by personnel communication with some former women's professional baseball players, including the president of the AAGPBL Players Association and the secretary of the AAGPBL Players Association. |
