HIV/AIDS Prevention Education Programs in Diverse Communities
One goal of the session is to increase learning opportunities for culturally relevant HIV/AIDS prevention education for youth and young adults of diverse backgrounds. A report on the relative success of at least three statewide progams devoted to improving communication and collaboration between professionals guiding prevention programs and those guiding medical and social service programs. The development of a statewide partnership between the state department of education, department of public health, local school districts and community-based organizations to increase the effectiveness and capacity to deliver research-based prevention education training.
