The Mouse Potato Phenomenon, and Making the Sport-Fitness Connection
Are children becoming more hooked on technology and less interested in physical activity? This session introduces strategies for using storytelling, natural phenomenon, cross curricular connections, and innovative activities to promote physical activity with children. Lessons and activities that promote seamless collaboration with classroom teachers, health and physical educators will be presented. THIS PRESENTATION WILL ALSO PROMOTE THE LAUNCH OF TWO NEW AAALF PUBLICATIONS ENTITLED "WHEN CODY BECAME A MOUSE POTATO" AND "FITNESS INSTRUCTOR TRAINING GUIDE".
