How to Develop, Evolve, Refine, and Improve your Adventure Education Program
Adventure education is used to build self-esteem, improve communication, create teamwork, and solve problems. This session is designed to help both the practitioner and the teacher/instructor establish criteria for integrating adventure into their place of work. Participants will learn how to incorporate adventure learning in the curriculum as an equal to the standard classroom setting. The presenters will discuss the elements of an excellent program, including: safety and risk management, program design, and recruiting, developing, and managing staff. Participants will leave with a comprehensive understanding of how to use adventure as a learning tool.
