This half day workshop will focus on the process for National Board Certification in physical education. The five areas to be discussed are: 1. Awareness - What is National Board Certification and why does it matter? 2. The Standards - What are the National Board Standards for Accomplished Teaching of Physical Education? 3. Portfolio - What is involved in completing the portfolio? 4. Assessment Center - What is required of candidates at the assessment center? 5. Support System - What support systems are available? How can a support system be developed?.
