Assuring Cultural Competency in Health Promotion Programs |
Cultural competency and sensitivity have been identified as major themes in the professional development of health professionals. As we serve a more diverse clientele, interest in designing culturally competent services that lead to improved outcomes, better quality of life and efficiency has increased. During this presentation the presenter will discuss strategies to promote cultural competence to effectively work and address the health needs of diverse individuals and communities, and discuss the Office of Minority Health’s agenda in this area. |
