As inclusion increasingly becomes a trend or even a mandate in many school systems and public recreation programs it is vitally important that we assess the student-related outcomes of inclusive programs. Research data will be shared from interviews with campers who participated in a 1-week inclusive residential sports camp. Two focus group interviews were conducted: one with campers with disabilities and one with campers without disabilities. Data analyses included transcription of interviews, content analyses of interview data, and interpretation of field notes. Campers' responses related to four themes: new physical activities that they experienced, an awareness of their need to be physically active, things they learned about themselves, and things they learned about others. The presentation will include descriptive data from each theme. In addition, the data will be discussed through an application of these themes to the development of individualized transition plan goals/objectives for students who receive adapted physical education services.
