U.S. physical education (PE) programs are increasingly undervalued and underfunded. To bolster their perceived value among school communities, PE programs can provide resources to faculty, staff and students about physical activity (PA). Student assessment is an innovative way to create these resources. This session is aimed towards PE leaders and will introduce participants to various types of PE assessments that can assess student learning, engage school communities in PA, and contribute to school community’s PA knowledge-bases.
