Research from the last 15 years has found the part of the brain that processes movement is the same part of the brain that processes learning. Students with disabilities require more movement with intention-styled curriculum, and engagement with their non-disabled peer (task cards). This session will provide suggestions and activities to promote inclusion and meeting student’s needs in physical education by carefully selecting activities that have music (rhythm), mid-line crossing, and large muscle groups.
