This workshop will explore the current trend of evaluating teachers using student performance and the implications of this trend for evaluating the effectiveness of PE teachers. Identifying key factors in the teaching-learning process could provide a basis for understanding teacher effectiveness. In addition, the role of content knowledge in determining effective teaching will be described. Finally, the impact of behavioral analysis, new technology, and statistical modeling on understanding of effective teaching will be explored. (CEU)
