To ensure that students have a high quality educational experience, faculty members often redesign an entrenched curriculum. Mapping is a powerful tool that can be used to facilitate curriculum design, instruction and assessment while promoting collaboration across discipline areas (Mills, 2002). It also provides a pathway to link content and learning outcomes. Linking content and learning outcomes is an integral component of curricular development and provides formative and summative assessments in the curricular process. (CEU)
