As the number of children diagnosed with ASD continues to rise, it is increasingly important for ALL educators to understand appropriate teaching strategies. Yet, physical educators may not receive training in strategies used in classrooms for children with ASD’s. Speakers will discuss strategies used by classroom teachers to enhance learning for children with ASD’s and how to implement them in PE. Topics include incorporating behavior improvement plans, teaching motor skills using video feedback, and communication. (CEU)
