From the early 2000’s until now, categorical funding through CDC, foundation funders, and reactive legislative initiatives has defined the scope of health education. Unfortunately, student needs are broader and more comprehensive. This session will explore the need for and scope of comprehensive health education. Participants will identify current health threats to our youth and understand the rationale for moving to a comprehensive vs. available funding approach to health education. (CEU) (CHES)
