Teaching dance through movement themes potentially creates a foundation for learning the basic dance elements, especially when teaching young children. The session emphasizes how and why theme-based movement experiences when effectively instructed within a supportive learning environment fosters the development of positive learning experiences in dance education, which the educator of dance, early childhood and physical education can incorporate within existing programs or when designing a new early childhood centered movement program.
