The purpose of this panel is to present research on work-family balance in academia. First, we frame the issue of gender as it relates to work-life balance specifically in higher education. Second, we offer personal and organizational perspectives on achieving work-life balance from three uniquely different sport management academics having served both in faculty and department chair roles. Third, we investigate ways to assist work-life balance in academia specifically sport management.
