587 Maximizing Physical Activity in Physical Education

Although the national recommendation is for students to engage in physical activity at least 50% of each physical education lesson, data suggest they are only active 34% of the time. This activity session, intended for K-12 physical educators, will introduce effective management strategies for maximizing student physical activity. Included are tips on Freezing students, Retrieving equipment, Instructing students, Grouping students, and Nurturing positive behavior.
