Cross-curriculum connections can be used in the creative dance experience to create a holistic interdisciplinary learning environment for student achievement. This session will demonstrate the many academic and physical benefits for linking academic subject matter of language arts, math, science, and social studies to thematic themes of beach, farm, and sports. This pedagogy offers children important experiences with critical and cognitive thinking, movement development and sequencing, sharing in a cooperative group, and exploratory learning.
