Due to the increasing rates of diabetes, it would be counterproductive to not utilize Health Educators as Certified Diabetes Educators. We need to join together and advocate for change. Attendees will learn of the tremendous benefit Certified Health Education Specialists can provide to diabetes education programs, and will be provided examples of how the use of CHES has revolutionized diabetes care and increased income for a department in the Gainesville, Florida area.
