Female athletes across sports and competition levels identify pressures to change their body weight, shape or size (Reel, 2012). The presenters, who have measured weight pressures among sub-elite and college female athletes, will discuss practical tips for addressing frequently reported body image concerns in the sport environment. Additionally, assessment of weight pressures using the WPS-F instrument and prevention of disordered eating among female athletes will be covered using an interactive delivery format.
