Participants will learn about the application of self-directed learning in a virtual environment as a means of developing service-learning activities relevant to health students and community partners. This session will be of interest to individuals developing or revising a course with a service-learning component. Recently there has been an increased expectation for universities to provide community outreach. Join the authors as they share the synergy experienced by joining the virtual environment with community engagement.
