The purpose of this session is to familiarize the participant with one of the NCAA's emerging sports: STUNT. Twenty-one universities committed to instituting stunt as a spring sport in 2011 and have since completed their first competitive season. The sport of stunt is the result of intercollegiate competitive cheer squads not being recognized as a sport in a landmark case involving Quinnipiac University's Athletic Department.
