This session describes one university’s effort to address NCATE standard 1.5, “Analyze and correct critical elements/performance concepts.” Teacher candidates find it enormously challenging determining if a performance was correct, what was incorrect and how to prioritize feedback. These skills are critical to helping P12 students learn skills and tactics. Among several strategies, the program created videos, developed a field based motor learning project, and made significant modifications to skill development classes. Free videos available.
