The combination of a 2D barcode and a smartphone has created a new information technology that "Sports Illustrated" used to promote its swimsuit issue to millions in 2011. Our field, however, has not realized the advantages of this powerful tool. This symposium provides a tutorial on what a 2D barcode is and key steps to develop a 2D barcode application. An example using a 2D barcode to promote a Chinese body-mind exercise will be given.
