Assessing typically developing students with varying abilities and those with disabilities can often be challenging. The Basic Skills Assessment is an innovative curriculum-based assessment that is organized by content area, not grade level, and therefore provides teachers with the flexibility to assess all students. The assessments span grades K-12 and uses a simple computer-based system to maintain data. The BSA can also be useful in creating IEP goals and objectives for students with disabilities.
