Explore how to introduce contact partnering to beginners in grades 6-12. Although the practice sounds challenging, no prior experience is necessary for this session. Contact partnering is based on the communication between two or more moving partners in physical contact and their relationship to physical laws that govern their motion-gravity, momentum, and inertia. The session ends with an open jam where participants apply the tools of contact improvisation and enter performance space freely.
