This year's C. H. McCloy Lecture presents an overview of physical fitness and activity research spanning the past 50 years. In addition to Dr. Corbin's research, classic studies will be discussed. Advancements and innovations in research methods, theory, and technology will be described. The overview begins with the fitness study that “shocked the President” and concludes with current studies showing the benefits of good fitness and regular physical activity and effective methods for promoting lifelong physical activity. Tickets $40 in advance, $50 onsite.
