Girls’ Day Out is an annual event involving 5th to 8th grade girls in a day of non-traditional sporting, recreational, vocational, and health education activities. The presentation will describe the evolution of GDO; discuss strategies for successful community-college collaborations; illustrate the use of needs assessment and process evaluation data; discuss this event’s growth management; and share its multidimensional mentoring model.
