NASPE/Sport and Coaching
Speakers: Fran M. Hoogestraat, Not Affiliated with Any School or Workplace at the Present Time, Nashville, TN; LaNise Rosemond, Tennessee Tech University, Cookeville, TN; and Michael B. Phillips, Tennessee Tech University, Nashville, TN
This session teaches coaches how to select and rank training priorities for their sport year using technical, tactical, physical, mental, and communication tools (Rainer Martens). Future and current coaches will identify and prioritize training tools by month and training cycle (Tudor Bompa). What once was “tedious practice planning” now becomes a natural outcome of a periodized training year enhanced by the creativity and competition of the games approach. Great results await your teams!
