The purpose of this session is to provide an overview of measurement issues (i.e., validity, reliability, bias, sensitivity of measures) in PA interventions, raise important measurement questions and challenges that affect intervention outcome measurements among different subgroups (e.g., women, older adults, individuals with disabilities, children, etc.), describe the implications of these measurement issues for the interpretation of the observed intervention effects, and provide recommendations for future research.
