Current research suggests a connection between adverse childhood experiences and adult obesity. While child sexual abuse (CSA) is not the only adverse experience in the literature, it is a significant predictor of adult obesity. This presentation will report findings of a systematic review of the literature investigating the association between child sexual abuse and obesity. The difficulty in comparing studies due to research design will also be described. Recommendations for future research will be discussed.
