This study aims to evaluate the applicability of the Health Belief Model (HBM) to high school students. The intended audience includes educational researchers, teachers, and policy makers. For this study, the School Physical Activity and Nutrition survey was administered to female, urban high school students during physical education class in order to yield evidence of the applicability of HBM for this population, and also practical implications for physical and health education.
