Recently, high-velocity resistance training (ie. power training) has been gaining popularity among seniors. In this session we will discuss the benefits of power training for senior adults as compared to traditional resistance training and present ways to incorporate power training principles into a senior activity program. The session will also include demonstrations of functional power training activities.
