This session focuses on opening body-mind pathways introducing theory and somatic approaches to facilitate whole learning and affect movement/dance performance. Techniques introduced include guided imagery, massage (requires touching and being touched), bodywork therapies, and exercises to promote muscular balance, efficient body alignment, and less stress on connective tissue affecting the electromagnetic field. Theories and techniques introduced are applicable to any learning/performance field and promote better kinesthetic awareness and cognitive and creative thinking.
