Wendy Kohrt, Ph.D., 2011 recipient of Herbert de Vries Award for distinguished research in aging will speak on “Physical Activity and Bone Health: Evidence-based Medicine and Science-based Theory.” Dr. Kohrt is a Professor of Medicine in the Division of Geriatric Medicine at the University of Colorado and the Director of the IMAGE research group. Melissa Powers, Ph.D., Assistant Professor, Kinesiology and Health Studies, University of Central Oklahoma, and recipient of the Outstanding Young Researcher Award.
