Self-defense education has evolved over the last 20 years, through an increased focus on cognitive knowledge and the affective development of students. The goal of modern self-defense is to help students make good choices, recognize potentially dangerous situations, and take action to prevent a physical altercation. This session will identify current best practices of how to best educate students regarding awareness information and prevention techniques. Attendees will be provided with an awareness and prevention curriculum.
