The topic of bullying is typically swept under the rug, but has both human and organizational costs. This interactive session focuses on helping the individual faculty member cope with or stop bullying. Participants gain understanding of: the extent of bullying in academia; contributing factors; warning signs and common methods used by bullies; strategies for reducing the personal impact of bullying; strategies for managing/stopping bullying; and recommendations for efforts to resolve bullying in their own institutions.
