The Senior Games is the largest multi-sport event in the United States with over 10,000 athletes in competition at the 2009 games in San Francisco. The Senior Games are held every other year with Houston preparing to host the 2011 games in June. Eighteen championship sports are featured. This presentation will provide a brief history of the games and introduce prospective participants to its purpose, structure and some of the outstanding athletes.
