This interactive presentation will focus on how to purposefully and meaningfully integrate media into the health classroom by creating learning strategies or assessments through the use of popular media as edutainment (commercial films, music, video games, social networking sites, video sharing website, etc.) Participants will leave with program materials that will include a step-by-step model on effectively using edutainment, list of sample health-related edutainment from popular media, and exemplary edutainment learning activities and/or assessments.
